FAQ
  • Grab a drink, watch a show, go on a quest, shop around and make some friends! Just like any larger renaissance faire, the event will be what you make of it!

  • We always recommend taking the commuter rail train if you are coming in from Boston!

If you are driving, the closest parking to the event is the South Harbor/Waterfront Garage on Derby st. All lots/ street parking are ran through the passport app.
We also like the Church Street parking lot, the Klop Alley lot, and the Crombie Street Lot!

  • On the Charlotte Forten Park side of the event, we will have a face painter and a bubble station set up for kids. While there aren’t any kid specific events on the Notch side of the event space, kids are welcome there too!

  • Tickets are $10 dollars cash at the door day of the event. There are ATMs at the Speedway and Eastern Bank on the same street if you need them!

  • African or European?

  • Nope! Absolutely no sharp swords even in a sheath. Obvious LARP weapons that are foam or peace-tied/zip-tied dull replicas will be permitted, but use your judgement. If it looks too real or too scary we may have to deny entry. Please don’t get us into trouble!

  • Yes! They will be located on the Charlotte Forten Park side of the event by the face painting tent.

  • This is our first year and we wanted to start small. We are really lucky Notch was willing to collaborate with us and give us a chance to make something magical!

  • Definitely NOT a magical ring

  • While we are hosting our event at a brewery, we aren’t quite a pop-up. Salem Renfaire will essentially be an all day event and include performers at Notch, ~20 themed vendors set up in the parking lot, and quests/promotions at other participating locations around town. We’ll also be closing out the night with an afterparty. We think it’s fair to use faire!

  • We can’t fit horses in the Notch beergarden

  • Yes.

  • Unfortunately this year we can only accommodate service animals in Notch and the market in Notch Parking lot as we will most likely be at capacity all day. That’s a little too crowded for most pups!

  • Rude.
